We are a SAME DAY COURIER company, we do not offer an economy overnight parcel service along the lines of ‘Parcelforce’. If you require this type of service please visit our Courier Services for Less Urgent Deliveries pages.
We specialise in delivering items with little actual value but of great importance. If you want your passport, visa, insurance documents, mortgage offer, car tax disc, airline tickets, house keys, laptop, wedding dress, job application etc, collecting and delivering TODAY we can help. We will use our best endeavours to make sure your urgent delivery arrives on time and in one piece.
A SAME DAY delivery by motorbike, car or small van will cost you in the region of £1.18 - £1.40 per loaded mile (including VAT) and is subject to our minimum charges. Please click here for an Instant Online Price.
You may be wondering why our prices seem so expensive. Our service is a dedicated delivery service, think of it as a taxi service for parcels. You’re paying for someone to collect your consignment, drive it to the delivery point and deliver it in person. Vehicle depreciation and running costs are around 25p/mile each way, insurance for couriers costs around £2,000 per vehicle and even paying the couriers as little as the Minimum Wage would cause salary costs of nearly £7/hour. You’re also paying a proportion of our administration and advertising costs and of course our profits, which is what we’re here for after all. In our experience local taxi companies charge far more for a less immediate service, although we would suggest you call them if cost is an issue or if you think they may provide a more appropriate service. For very local small deliveries a taxi may well be more economical.
We are NOT a removal company, we will not move furniture, antiques, pictures, bikes, motorbikes, jet-skis, canoes, skis, surfboards, prams, pushchairs, wheelchairs, car engines, alloy wheels, ebay purchases, etc, etc, etc. If you require a parcel moving on a non-urgent basis please visit our Next Day and Economy Parcel Deliveries page. As normal road users with no special rights or immunity to road traffic laws we are subject to the same traffic delays as other road users. We therefore offer no guarantees on collection or delivery times although WE ARE HAPPY TO PROMISE THAT WE WILL USE OUR BEST ENDEAVOURS TO ENSURE THAT YOUR URGENT DELIVERY ARRIVES BY THE REQUIRED TIME.
All business undertaken is subject to our Conditions of Trading which, among other things, set out our liabilities to you. In particular we would like to point out that our liability for loss or damage is limited to £15.00 per kg based on the weight of the goods. We are NOT responsible for indirect or consequential damage or loss. This means (for example) that if you miss a flight or have to get married in a tracksuit because our driver is stuck in a traffic jam on the M6 while he’s attempting to deliver your passport or wedding dress, we WILL NOT be held responsible for any costs you may incur.
We try to be as ‘up front’, honest and open as possible in our dealings with all potential customers. There are many other courier companies who are happy to do business with private individuals and who may have different policies to ours. While we really do welcome your custom (if you require a service that we provide) we appreciate that some private customers may not be happy with our Conditions of Trading or possibly our prices. If this is the case we are happy to suggest that DHL, TNT or even Royal Mail may offer a more appropriate service.
